TEFL Teacher Training in Bangkok, Thailand
New Teachers are Born in the Classroom
Many schools only hire TEFL graduates who have at least six hours of Observed Teaching Practice with non-English speaking students in real classrooms. This hands-on experience helps turn teaching theory into practical skills, which are essential to becoming a successful teacher.
Top Rated in Value
In-Class TEFL Course for THB 45,000 (US$1,335)
On teflcoursereview.com, Vantage is ranked #1 in all three TEFL categories—onsite, online and combined—on which TEFL programs are assessed.
Getting teachers ready to step into the classroom and effectively teach their students is no small challenge.
That’s why a professional-level TEFL course—like the one that includes six Observed Teaching Practice (OTP) sessions—is so important. It gives new teachers the essential skills they need to succeed, whether they’re teaching in Thailand or anywhere else in the world.
Vantage stands out as the only TEFL program based in Thailand to win this kind of recognition. These are international awards, with competition from TEFL programs all around the world—from Buenos Aires to Bangkok. Vantage has won every year since 2018.

Vantage TEFL Certification—Two TEFL Course Options
Option 1: 100% In-Person Vantage In-Class Course
Vantage's 120-hour In-Class Course lasts four weeks and has six key areas of study.
You learn both teaching theory and how to facilitate your lessons through the communicative approach to language teaching—the international standard, which is being adopted by Thailand's Ministry of Education for Thai English teachers kingdom-wide.
We strongly believe in learning by doing. In this on-site course, you will teach real students under observation for at least 6 hours in our practicum.
Vantage was ranked #1 worldwide as the Top TEFL Course in the 2018 Community Choice Awards—and we've been a winner every year since.
Option 2: The Vantage Combined (Hybrid) Course
Vantage's Hybrid Combined Course offers the best of both worlds: 50% online training and 50% in-person teaching practice.
In Phase One, your online study of the coursebook—with full tutor support—will concentrate on teaching theory and best practices.
Then in Phase Two, you will do observed teaching practices (OTPs)--the practicum where you’ll teach non-English speaking students in a real Thai classroom.
The practicum is where your course knowledge is transformed into the teaching skill set you'll need to be successful in the classroom.
Turning Knowledge into Skill: The Power of Practicum
The practicum—Observed Teaching Practices (OTPs)—is where theory becomes real teaching skill. Skills aren’t just learned; they’re built through hands-on experience.
That’s why live classroom practice is essential, especially for new teachers. It’s the core of any professional-grade TEFL course.
At Vantage TEFL, trainees teach real non-English speaking students for at least six hours, covering different language topics in each session. After every class, you’ll receive detailed feedback from experienced trainers to help you grow your teaching abilities.
All Vantage programs include six observed teaching practices—no shortcuts. Some courses offer only 2 or 3, but for real preparation, don’t settle for less.
TEFL Courses given in a Workshop Format
"There are currently some 7,000 foreign teachers in Thailand's schools, another 10,000 teachers are required."
--Thai Education Minister Nataphol Teepsuwan (September, 2020)
