Chris Demetsopoullos (Lead Trainer)
Chris has some 25 years in the English Language Teaching (ELT) industry.
Originally from London, he started his teaching career with Inlingua in the mid-1990s where he taught diverse ages of Thai students. From there, he moved up to positions in corporate business training and client acquisition.
His business English assignments led to his work as a developer of customized materials for business skills courses and Thai blue-chip corporate workshops.
More recent work has been focused on leveraging traditional teaching content onto digital platforms through interactive exercises and the creation of online tests for both the eLearning and mLearning platforms.
Chris specializes in the creation of high-level English for Special Purposes (ESP) courses and one-on-one Executive Coaching for personal development programs and Leadership Coaching.
He firmly believes in the experiential learning methodology. He is professional, reliable, creative, and has effective cross-cultural communication skills. He understands how to maximize the impact on trainees through an active approach.
Chris holds a BSc. degree in Pure Mathematics from the University of North Wales. He did his TESOL Certification at the ECC Teacher Training Center in Bangkok. He has been Vantage’s Lead Trainer since 2016.
Kevin Cullen (Jobs Coach)
Kevin started his career teaching English and developing course materials for the Iranian Navy as part of their English training regimen. Later as an entrepreneur in Spain, he established The English Consultancy providing language corporate training and staff development programs.
He then held significant management positions in Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand while he earned an MBA in International Business and Marketing.
After graduate school, his focus was in the financial services sector where, in Saudi Arabia, he was charged with new product development and implemented and managed strategic partner relationships for the Saudi French Bank. He was subsequently recruited for senior managerial positions in Kuwait where he established the first marketing functionality and revitalized the corporate identity for two different local banks.
In 2010, he became evangelical about computer-adaptive language testing—a passion that led to the buyout of the Cambridge-authorized Thai BULATS agency (now Vantage). He has taught numerous business English classes for many of Thailand's blue-chip companies.
He holds a BA degree in English from the University of Washington in Seattle and an MBA from the Kellogg/Wharton affiliated SASIN business school at Chulalongkorn University.

Ryan Cullen (Thai Culture Specialist)
Ryan is a Thai national and his focus is on the foreign language experience modules in Vantage TEFL's course.
Ryan details what’s unique about Thai education and goes through the dos and don’ts of teaching in local schools. He will show you how small, but important signals can help a teacher get accepted by Thai students.
You’ll only meet him briefly, but his introduction to traditional Thai customs will help you appreciate the unique ways of Siamese culture.
He is a 2010 graduate of Mt. Alison University in Canada with a BA in International Relations. He also holds a TEFL Certification from TEFL International.
He has a wealth of experience in teaching diverse Thai learners from children, university students, and adults to corporate business English. He runs Vantage’s preparation course for candidates meeting their English language requirements for a UK spousal visa.
Ryan is also a Cambridge-certified Speaking examiner and has conducted hundreds of face-to-face speaking assessments.
